The Resolvers is a reggae outfit from southeast United States (Deerfield Beach, FL) that plays a new style they coined “Big Band Reggae.” As the name implies, the new sound draws influences from classic Jamaican Reggae, Rocksteady, and Ska along with New Orleans Jazz, Funk, and Soul. Their live show has been described as explosive with up to 10 musicians on stage, 5 singers, a full horn section, and a powerful male/female lead roles.
The band’s one official release, an EP entitled H’amsa, debuted in 2008 prior to the addition of a horn section. Since the H’amsa, The Resolvers’ sound has evolved and expanded to their signature “Big Band Reggae” sound. The band is currently working on a new release to begin officially introducing some their “underground hits” such as Go With It, Itchy Mind, Time For A change, Special Delivery, & Out Of My Frame.
The Resolvers have shared the stage some of the biggest artists in reggae, including The Wailers, Julian Marley, Stephen Marley, Damian Marley, Kymani Marley, Inner Circle, English Beat, Yellowman, Matisyahu, Lee “Scratch” Perry, & Mishka, while performing as featured artists in numerous major international festivals such as Marley Fest, Jamaican Jazz & Blues Fest, Sun Fest, Aura Music & Arts Fest, Dub Fest and more.
